My craft room also doubles as a laundry room. Okay, actually I have taken over the laundry room with my craft supplies. It’s also the place where we keep Sophie’s food and water, and where I store my photography props. All that to say, I have NO space. They are pictured below is really all I have to work with.
As my collection grows, I find that most days I don’t even want to go into my laundry room to work on crafts. I don’t work well in unorganized chaos, and that’s exactly what my craft space has turned into. I have card stock everywhere and have to move it to get into the freezer (oh, did I forget to mention the freezer?). I knew I was going to have to figure something out, and I even considered moving the washer and dryer into the garage… but my husband said “NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN!”. So again, I was racking my brain to come up with a storage solution for my craft supplies.
Last week I mentioned to my son John that I was going to buy an over-the-door shoe organizer for his Pokemon cards, and when I went to pick it up today, it hit me. BAM! If a shoe organizer will help organize my son’s room, it would also be perfect for my craft room!
So I grabbed three of them, you know because I may find other places in the house that could use some organization as well!
Here’s what I did in my son’s room:

And this is what I was able to do in my craft room:

How freakin’ awesome is that! Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m excited!
