Cranberry Vanilla Oatmeal

Cranberry Vanilla Oatmeal Recipe:

Oatmeal is a go-to for family breakfasts because it’s a quick and easy meal for busy moms. Kids, on the other hand, don’t always appreciate it for its ease which is why it’s important to mix it up, add new twists, and get kids excited about their oatmeal. This is just one easy way to add a little fun to your child’s oatmeal, and I’m sure you seasoned moms have plenty of other oatmeal hacks you can share! If you have a favorite oatmeal recipe, please feel free to share it with us.

Cranberry Vanilla Oatmeal Ingredients:

1 3/4 cup water
1 cup Old Fashioned Oats, or Quick Cooking Oats
1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons raspberry jam (can use low-sugar)
1/4 cup 1% low-fat milk, plus more to taste

How To Make Cranberry Vanilla Oatmeal:

1. Put water, oats, salt and cranberries into a medium saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes for Old Fashioned Oats, or 1 minute for Quick Cooking Oats.
3. Remove from heat.
4. Stir in the vanilla extract and raspberry jam.
5. Put into serving bowls and pour 2 tablespoons of milk over each bowl.

Enjoy!
