When you say “wide “ on your balances, are you actually speaking of the length of the balance? Wide would indicate how wide your window is from left to right. Length would be how long it is from top to bottom. I absolutely love your valances but am a bit mixed up on the directions. How many sides of the burlap do you need to sew? These balances are an answer to prayer for me. I sure hope I can figure them out

Shasta, Hello! While I like both valances ( which turned out to be adorable) I prefer the white valance with brown bows for your kitchen. The white provides a clean contrast against the tan paint above the window frame. The dark brown bows pick up the dark brown in the backsplash tile and the white valance is a clean contrast against the backsplash. The shorter length of the white valance is more appropriate for the height of the window, roughly 1/3 . You did a great job! Bravo! Thanks for sharing on Pinterest! Leigh, The Gifted Lady
