This month I am participating in a 31 day writing challenge. I have never done anything like this before, but I am super excited to write about what I love most, my faith. We will be spending the month of October walking through the book of James together. The book of James has always been my favorite book of the New Testament, because it’s where the rubber meets the road. Faith in action. Without action what kind of faith can we possibly claim to have. I would never claim that faith or works alone lead to salvation or a God honoring life. I believe that authentic faith leads us run the race we’ve been called to run.
I want this series to be raw, unscripted, transparent truth about what it’s like to be a Christian woman living out the lessons learned in James, and I hope you will share in the journey with me.
To be honest, I have no idea where this journey will lead me, and I don’t know what to tell you to expect. I will pray daily about what to share, and I will share without fear. I trust that something good will come from this, even if the lessons learned, are learned by me alone.
So buckle up, and get ready for the ride of your life because God has some amazing things in store for all of us, and I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to MOVE.
Father, please bless this series. Lord, I ask that you would give me wisdom as I read your word, and give me the words to write here every day. Help me to be honest and transparent, and please open my eyes to the truths in your word. I pray that this study would glorify you, and you alone.
