Using paper and supplies that you already have in your crafting stash, these Easy Candy Valentine Cards are quick and easy to make and will be a hit with your special someone.
What You Need To Make Your Silhouette Candy Valentine Cards
Supplies:
6-inch x 6-inch Cardstock
6-inch x 6-inch plastic page protector sheet
Scissors
Needle
Paper String
Paper Clips
Sketch Pen
Candy
How To Make Your Silhouette Candy Valentine Cards:
Step 1: Choose a heart shape you like and size it to about 6.3-inches x 5.4-inches. The heart shown is one from the Silhouette Studio Five Heart Set. I really like this design, because it is like getting five designs for the price of one. Each heart is slightly different than the other.
Step 2: Choose your font and write out your Valentine wish and sign the card.
Step 3: Bring the text you just designed forward and place it on the heart where you want it. The Silhouette Curio is able to do cutting and drawing, which comes in really handy in this design.
Go ahead and get your text drawn with the sketch pen and cut out the heart shape with your text in place.
*Note: If you don’t have a die-cutting machine, you can draw the heart, cut it out, and then add your text with markers.Step 4: Using your heart shape, trace and cut out your front from the plastic page protector. Hold the sheet protector in place with paper clips. Using the needle and paper string, sew around the heart, leaving about 2 inches open for the candy. Fill with candy.
Step 5: Sew the card the rest of the way closed.
