With the holidays fast approaching, I thought this would be a great time to share a tutorial on setting up for Girls Night Crafts. In the hustle and bustle of the season, it is easy to forget to schedule in some quality time with your close friends. One of the things I love about paper crafting is creating something meaningful from one moment in time. What better way is there to stop time than crafting with those who mean the most to you. Some of my most meaningful ideas were born during crop marathons with friends.

Crafting is more fun when you can share the experience with the ones that know you the best. Do you ever feel overwhelmed during the holidays when you think of all the things you need to do? If you are like me, there are people on your list that deserve a handmade gift. If you are still thinking about getting started with those gifts, there is no time like the present. Head to the store and pick up a few snacks and some drinks and invite your besties over. The finest creations happen in the presence of others who love artistry as much as you do. So let’s get set up.

Girls Night Crafts – The Set-Up

Send the men on their way so you can arrange your room(s) for the night. Arrange your crafting tables and chairs, so they are facing each other. All of your guests will need plenty of room but are still going to want to chat. Pick a large table to set up with supplies and cover it with a shower curtain in a design you favor. Placing a shower curtain under your craft supplies equals quick clean up after girls craft night. Go ahead and stock up on wet wipes, they are magic when it comes to removing inks and adhesives!

Start by placing plenty of cardstock and scraps on the table. Make sure you put out a large variety of colors and textures in the large and the small pieces.

Add your collection of stamps and inks so that everyone can find everything they need to get their creative groove on.

Go ahead and move the couches and chairs into comfy arrangements for relaxing. You will want to have some small tables close by for setting down food and drinks. Don’t forget to put out the cheese, crackers, and wine for those moments when you will be breaking for some for chit chat. You should try some of the Callie Collection Pinot Gringo, Chardonnay, or the Fresh Red Blend this evening.

The Callie Collection is the first in our market to have the easy twist cork (Helix closure). How convenient is that? It is a lovely and lighthearted wine that has beautiful aromas and is easy to drink which makes it perfect for this event. Hey, even the most creative of us need a little down time sometimes. 🙂

Just grab all of your favorite tools and arrange them so that they are handy for all of the projects that will get created tonight. Okay, now I’m started to get excited about having everyone over this evening, are you?
