I love this Clean Eating Protein Packed Banana Breakfast! I could eat bananas all day, every day. I love them, and I am also a huge fan of my favorite Banana Sandwich (check out this old banana sandwich debate I had with my husband and readers). Anyway, as my second phase starts, I am being forced (by my crazy self) to take a good hard look at the way I ate during phase 1 and make the necessary changes.
During phase 1 I overdid it on the carbs, especially pre-workout but I wasn’t watching my intake and as a fruit lover, I can easily go overboard with fruit and bread. So I have decided to kick some of my common carbs to the curb to make sure I burn fat and not sugar.
FYI: Carbs turn to sugar and sugar goes through the liver and is stored as fat. So you have to watch both your carb and sugar intake.
Anyway, with that in mind, I decided to ditch bread first thing in the morning. A toasted sandwich of some type has been my go-to breakfast every morning for like five months, but that is going to change. I am going to start adding some variety back into my breakfasts, and this is where I’m starting.
Today I skipped the bread and made this little beauty for breakfast:
Now, remember, I do eat size meals a day so this would not be enough of a meal to last me until lunch if I only ate three meals a day.
