So you may be wondering where in the world I am, and why I haven’t been updating my blog 50 times a day (or maybe you didn’t even miss me).
I have decided to pry myself away from the computer this summer and spend more time with my family. As much as I love this blog (and you); I love my family more. During the summer months, we love to travel, and I may also try to get a summer job this year. With that said, I do plan to share our summer adventures with you, and hopefully some pretty sweet giveaways as well.
I also have some awesome news to share….. my husband was finally accepted to OCS. It seems like we have wanted this forever, but really it was only his second time applying, so I think he did pretty well. I am sad that I will be husbandless for 17 loooooong weeks, but I couldn’t be prouder of John. He has worked hard for this, and I know he will make an amazing officer.
Right now my family is in Branson, MO. We decided to come back because last years trip was so much fun! This year we also had the pleasure of vacationing with my parents and grandparents. It has been really hot, but we are all having an amazing time.
If you plan to make the trip to Branson this year, I highly recommend the Holiday Hills Resort and Golf Club. When my grandma checked in they upgraded us to the President’s Suits and they are NICE! I guess they were empty, and the lady at the desk wanted us to have the best stay possible because we didn’t request an upgrade! The resort is perfect for families. They have 5 pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, golf, and an activity center where you can play games, watch movies, and even rent board games & equipment. The staff is also super helpful, and very friendly.
Since we’ve been back in Branson we hit a few of our favorite attractions! We re-visited Mel’s Hard Luck Diner, and I got to hear Jason Yeager sing Unchained Melody again (HE IS AMAZING). We also went to the Dixie Stampede again (I will write more about our visit later). Then today we had the pleasure of visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum, Castle of Chaos, and the Maze of Mirrors, and Presley’s Country Jubilee. We had a ton of fun, and I will be giving some in-depth reviews later this week, along with some tips to make your trip more fun if you plan to travel with little ones.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to. June will be a really busy month for me; because I will be heading to LA for the premiere of Cars 2, and then TN for our Twizzlers Family Road Trip, so keep in touch :).
Here’s to a great summer!
