We Live To Give: Our Red Kettle Reason

Sharing is caring!

~ I participated in a campaign on behalf of Influence Central for The Salvation Army Red Kettle Reason. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

This year, God has truly blessed our family in so many ways. My husband and I were reconciled and got remarried, my husband opened his own landscaping business and scored his first contract, I was able to stay at home and work on my blog again, and we have all grown closer as a family. We are blessed beyond measure, and we believe that our response to these blessings is to return what God has done for us by blessing others. We love because He first loved us, and we give because He has given us all we have. I believe that we are called to serve and live out our faith in real ways, ways that change hearts and lives. That is my family’s Red Kettle Reason!

If you have been reading for a while, you know that giving is probably my favorite thing in the world, which is why I was excited to partner with The Salvation Army to share their #RedKettleReason campaign. I always say that I know it’s the Christmas season when the Red Kettles are out, and NOT when the Christmas products come out in stores (because Christmas does not start the day after Halloween). 😉

This year The Salvation Army’s National Red Kettle Reason campaign is encouraging us all to share our reasons for giving using the hashtag #RedKettleReason. I personally love hashtags like these because it gives me a chance to see the motives in other people’s hearts. Sometimes these reasons melt my heart, and sometimes they challenge me to give more! The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Reason helps bring the spirit of Christmas to people who would otherwise be forgotten all year long.

Take a look at what your contribution to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Reason campaign does for people all over the world:

After seeing these numbers, I have to agree with the fact that The Salvation Army is committed to “Doing The Most Good”. Would you agree?

The first photo in this post was taken last week when we went to Walmart. My daughters were so excited to see the Red Kettle’s out and couldn’t wait to donate money for the first time this year! I was a pretty happy mama, especially since our trip to Walmart was actually for the kids. We were taking them shopping for some Angels they chose at church.
