Best Orange Pound Cake recipe I’ve tried yet!
Orange Pound Cake Recipe:
I don’t know about you, but I love pound cake. The only thing that comes close to my love for pound cake is angel food cake. This recipe is not too sweet and has just enough orange flavor to taste like my favorite orange creamsicles. I love all things orange flavored, but with my migraines, I have to be really careful. Too much orange anything will give me a massive migraine.
Thankfully this recipe hits the spot and leaves me headache free!
Orange Pound Cake Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup vanilla yogurt

1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. Grated orange peel
3/4 cup butter
3 large eggs

Beat butter soft spread into sugar and orange peel mixture with electric mixer on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.

I just tried this recipe. Excellent. Not too sweet. Just the right texture for a pound cake. I used regular butter. To make it simple, I started with the butter and sugar in the mixer. Then I just added the eggs, then the vanilla, then the flour and baking soda and salt. Meaning I am lazy and did not want to dirty too many dishes. Yummy. DeniseO

Thanks for the recipe! I'll be trying it out this weekend. I still haven't decided on desserts for my family Christmas dinner...but this one certainly sounds like a good option.
