Tummy Tuck recovery photos for weeks 2 & 3 are finally here for your viewing pleasure. I’m so excited to share these with you. As you can probably tell, this week finds me feeling much better.

I shared how hard my week one tummy tuck recovery was because my stomach didn’t look like I expected it to.

I have seen significant changes over the past few weeks. I also started working out, which has helped boost my mood!

Week 2:

It feels good to start working my abs again. I am trying to take it easy because my lower abdominal area is still numb. My doctor uses an injection that he puts into the ab muscles themselves to keep them numb for a few weeks (which is excellent). Because I know I can’t feel the pain, I don’t want to overdo it and suffer later.

As you can see from my week two pictures, the swelling started going down, and the incisions began healing. I stopped wearing my compression garment in week two and started using Spanx instead.

Not only was it more comfortable to wear the Spanx, but it also helped me fit into my jeans again without irritating the incision. It is a little annoying to try clothes on that fit before surgery only to find that you are too swollen to wear them, but I remind myself it’s temporary.

Tummy Tuck Recovery Photos: Week 3:

Week 3 just ended yesterday, and I love waking up each morning to check my progress. I can lay completely flat now without the “stretching” feeling I had before, but everything still feels a little tight.

Now I target my upper abs and obliques when working out. I plan to add a little more to my routine every day, but when I try new exercises, I only do a few at a time to make sure I don’t hurt myself.

I have gone running, tried rowing, and other basic exercises like push-ups, planks, and even burpees. Remember to consult your surgeon before working out, and only do what’s comfortable for you.

As you can see, I still have some swelling (which makes my remaining stretch marks look worse), but this is progress. I love seeing more definition up top, which should only get better with exercise.

Mentally I’m feeling much better. I am motivated to work out now because I want to see the results I could never get before the surgery.

There are still a few stitches in place, but I think they should dissolve in a few days. I can’t explain how happy I am that I had this surgery!

Thank you for sharing this made me feel better about my tummy tuck I am 1 week post op and the bandages was removed and I instantly started crying and thought i got jacked up. But thanks to seeing pictures of other people I know now its a part of the healing process.
