Luxxella Outdoor Patio Furniture Scam

Luxxella Outdoor Scam

If you have considered purchasing furniture from Luxxella Outdoor Modern Patio Furniture, please DON’T! My parents made this mistake and today I want to share their story. Sadly, they aren’t the only one’s that have been scammed by this company. You can view their Facbook page to see how other’s have been scammed as well.

Here’s my parent’s story:

April 21st 2015: Order placed – My parents ordered the Patio Set Bella 7 Pcs Wicker Furniture. They also ordered the winter cover. The total came to $1678.00. When the order was placed the order was due to ship in 6-10 days according to the website.

One Week Later: My mom received notification that her credit card (only ever used to purchase from Luxxella) had been compromised. The person using the card first used it on iTunes then made bigger purchases before the bank caught the suspicious activity.

Note: If you check out their Facebook page, you can find other customers complaining that their cards were also compromised!

Two Weeks After Order: After this should have already shipped (based on the information given by the site) my mom called to check on the order. She was told that the order wouldn’t ship in 6-10 days as originally stated because they were “really busy and they get backed up during the summer”. Instead it would be 2-4 weeks before the furniture would ship. She was then told that she was “half way there”.

7 Weeks Today: After 7 weeks this furniture still has not shipped. There were reviews on the Facebook page that have now disappeared where customers shared how they ordered the furniture in the spring and didn’t get it until the following winter.

This is ridiculous and I don’t believe that businesses should be able to get away with treating customers like this. Not only do they not deliver the products and services the way they say they will, they are using a system that is causing credit cards to be compromised. Or they are using the cards themselves? Really not sure which at this point.

Luxxella Outdoor is based out of Los Angeles according to their website, so I plan to contact the local news stations to investigate this.

I had a similar issue when I bought a chaise outdoor patio furniture set with sunbrella covers for the set as well as the set purchased from Luxella the previous year. I finally received the furniture but NEVER received any of the covers. NEVER. That's $1500 down the drain as the co is now permanently closed!

I am so sorry to hear that!

I really wish I'd googled the company before I ordered from them! I ordered a set in May and part of it was delivered a month later...two pieces were missing. Here it is almost 2 months after that, and I still don't have the missing two pieces. I have called them so many times and they have said they're coming by a certain date and then they don't. I am beyond frustrated! The last time I spoke to them, I was told that I could request a refund. I may do that, but I also really want the pieces that will complete my set.

We are going through the exact same situation. We ordered additional furniture to match our existing set we purchased through Amazon a month ago. We were promised last Thursday that the order would ship on March 25th, and that they were preparing it for shipment at the time but didn't have a tracking number at the time. I called today to be informed that they had "inventory issues" and that our order wouldn't ship until April 8th now. After looking at ripoff report and the Facebook page it seems this is par for the course. I am contacting the state's attorney general and trying to find the owner of this company because all they do is QUICKLY take your money and then lie to you.

I ordered an eight piece set 3 weeks ago and I haven't been able to get anyone fro m the company to return my calls or emails. My credit card was compromised yesterday by someone at that company according to my bank. $500 worth of food from two different locations. Fraud department is all over it. This was the only purchase on my new credit card. Does anyone know if I will ever get my furniture?

I'm really sorry to hear that, Dan. I'll see if I can find the number for the manager we spoke to. We did finally manage to get our furniture, but it came missing one piece and the covers were never sent. If you can get in contact with someone I would highly recommend canceling your order! The company claims to be based in LA, but the owners facebook page says he lives in South Africa. Everything about this company screams SCAM!
