Adventure-Ocean-Youth-Program

Adventure Ocean Youth Program (Babies – Teens):

Royal Caribbean offers families Adventure Ocean, a fantastic program for kids of all ages. Cruising as a family should be enjoyable for everyone which is why Royal Caribbean has created a program geared towards each age group. As a parent, you can relax knowing that your children are in the hands of caring childcare professionals. When I interviewed the director of the program on Liberty of the Seas, she explained to me that every employee working with children goes through an extensive background check. They are also required to hold a degree in a related field!

These are the programs that Royal Caribbean currently offers on Liberty of the Seas:

Royal-Caribbean-Royal-Tots-And-Babies

Royal Babies & Tots (6-36 months):

Liberty of the Seas offers a nursery program for it’s tiniest guests.

What you need to know:
Reservations are highly recommended 
Operating Hours: 9 am – midnight
Price: $6.00 per hour per child from 9 am – 6 pm and $8 per hour per child from 6:00 pm – closing

Royal Babies & Tots has a toy lending program so be sure to check it out!
Family Fun Hour: Join in for dancing, games, and meet other families.
Family Activities: Be sure to check your daily cruise compass for activities.

Royal-Caribbean-Aquanauts-Kids

Aquanauts (Ages 3-11):

What you need to know:
Operating Hours: 9 am – 2 am
Price: Free before 10 pm / $7 per hour from 10 pm – 2 am
Children must be fully potty-trained

Aquanauts are split into three sessions a day. You can view the Kids Daily Planner on the ship to learn more. Listed below is an example of the sessions from Day 4 of our cruise.

Morning Session (9 am – Noon): Superheroes
Creative Creations: Capes, Superheroes Training Camp, Superhero Face Painting, Heroes in our Neighborhoods, Heroes & Villains, Story Time: Kids Choice

Afternoon Session (2 pm – 5 pm): All Aboard!
Mr. Conductor Says, Red Light, Green Light, Design Your Own Train, Train Tag, Story Time: Chugga Chugga Choo Choo, Runaway Train

Evening Session (7 pm – 10 pm): Farewell Bash
Balloon Volleyball, Birthday Parties, Face Painting, Freeze Dance, Musical Dot Dancing, Adventure Science: Gummy Candies, Pin The Tail on the Donkey, Story Time

Royal-Caribbean-Explorers-Kids

Explorers (Ages 6-8):

What you need to know:
Operating Hours: 9 am – 2 am
Price: Free before 10 pm / $7 per hour from 10 pm – 2 am

Morning Session (9 am – Noon): Fast Food Frenzy
Pizza Ball, Steal the Bacon, Coke &  Pepsi, Model Magic Favorite Food, Hot Dog Tag, Fast Food Listorama, Burrito Ball, Adventure Science: Gummy Candies, Turkey Take Down

Afternoon Session (2 pm – 5 pm): Carnival
Carnival Rules, Hula Hooping, Bowling, Adventure Science: Gravity Fillers, Jenga, Soccer Shootout, Bean Bag Toss, Carnival Raffle

Evening Session (7 pm – 10 pm): Rock & Roll
Domino Dancing, Rock Star Ball, Name that Song, Strike A Pose Mural, Musical Spots, Line Dancing, King & Queen of the Night, Adventure Science: Blow Mud

Royal-Caribbean-Voyagers-Kids

Voyagers (Ages 9-11):

What you need to know:
Operating Hours: 9 am – 2 am
Price: Free before 10 pm / $7 per hour from 10 pm – 2 am

Operating Hours: Nightly
Must have a Sea Pass to enter
Internet Cafe is .30 per minute

Royal-Caribbean-Teens-Fuel

Fuel offers a variety of parties and activities for your teens (17 and under). They host Scavenger Hunts, Karaoke, Dodge Ball, Dessert Challenge, Table Tennis Tournaments, Scrapbooking, Card Making, Music Trivia, and more. They also offer teen-only times for the Flow Rider and have a Scratch DJ Academy!

From basketball to rock climbing Royal Caribbean Liberty of the Seas has got you covered! Looking for adventure? The Flow Rider and Rock Climbing are sure to please. Does your family like to stay active? Basketball, Table Tennis, and Mini Golf will give you a chance to show off your skills. Your family can even challenge each other to games in the arcade, or play some old school hopscotch and four square. I kid you not; this ship has it all!

As if this cruise isn’t already sweet enough, you and the kiddos can visit a self-serve soft serve (try saying that three times fast) ice cream and frozen yogurt machine all day long!

I don’t know about you, but I think the Liberty of the Seas for Kids programs look pretty stinkin’ awesome!

Yes, the arcade does cost extra. I'm not sure how much each game costs.

Jess, they have dinner with the staff on some of the nights so you can enjoy dinner alone. I'm not sure about lunches, though. I think you can take their lunch because some pickup times aren't until 2 pm.

The kids area was pretty neat! I liked the arcade! Kids of all ages like arcades!
