Telling you about my Great Adaptations What's New & What's Next Story gives me the unique, and exciting opportunity to convey how fortunate I feel that I can share my thoughts and ideas with you like this. For most of my adult life, I held a full-time job outside my home. I spent most of my time working and then keeping house. My daughter, as you most likely already know, has been blogging for about eight years. Several times during this period, she has asked me why I don't quit my job and work with her on her blog. I was always too afraid to leave my comfort zone. Since I had been working with the same company for over twenty years, I was fearful of trying to step out on my own.
Great Adaptations What's New
Last year, I talked with her a lot about how the blog was going and how she was doing as a blogger. I guess, timing is the key to being able to make a life change, because when Shasta asked me again this spring why I didn't leave my job and work the blog with her, I shocked both of us by accepting her offer.
After some conversation and encouragement from my husband, I took the challenge and gave my notice to my employer. I am happy to say that I feel like I made the smartest decision of my life. I love blogging and being able to share my thoughts and creations with you guys. I have left the stress of being required to be somewhere all day every day and embraced working from home. I feel like this is the start of a great and wonderful time in my life.
I have been blogging part-time for some time now, but this week I started full-time blogging. I am excited to say that I am having a blast! I am still trying to get my bearings, and figure out a few things. One of the things I am still trying to figure out is travel. How can I downsize my electronic and camera needs for traveling convenience? I am a person who to be prepared for anything, overpacks.
Great Adaptations What's Next
On the go, I want to be ready for any blogging opportunity that arises, but I am having trouble getting all of my gear in one bag. That is why I am excited about the mobile phone accessory launch at Best Buy-OtterBox uniVERSE.
The new OtterBox uniVERSE case system starts with an ultra-slim case that follows your phone's precision lines while featuring a removable accent plate that slides off so you can mount the accessory modules.
This model of the case fits the iPhone 6/6s and iPhone 6Plus/6s and comes in two colors, black and snowcapped. The new uniVERSE case slides easily in and out of your pocket or purse and has a raised, beveled edge that helps protect the touchscreen. The easy installation is a plus, as this is a one-piece case that easily slips on and off your device.
Since the case and the accessory modules are available for purchase separately, you can invest as much or as little as you wish in expanding your phone's features. The OtterBox uniVerse case comes with endless possibilities. For example, I would be very interested in the Olloclip, which is a 4-in-one lens kit that includes four choices for pictures. The ultra-wide vision that used only to be available on my DSLR camera would now be available on my iPhone with the fish-eye option. The 10x and 15x zooming option is also a big deal for me. I also like the Polar Pro power pack battery module.
No more helplessly watching my battery die and not being able to stop it. No more being tied to the wall with my charger, when an outlet is available. With this external battery, I will be able to keep my phone charged longer and take the battery life worry off the table as well.
Some of the other modules that you can purchase at Best Buy include the Seek Thermal, which is a thermal imaging camera, the Steelie, which is a vent mount for your car, for hands-free operation, and the Sandisk, a flash drive. Of course, it goes unsaid that the OttorBox comes with Certified Drop+ Protection.
Well, now that you've read my Great Adaptations, What's New & What's Next story, I plan to share my adventures and adaptations with you while having a blast working with Shasta. I look forward to the future, and can't wait to see "what's next"!
