This week I want to share my latest Big Lots Christmas shopping haul. This year I have done an excellent job tackling my Christmas list. I am usually still shopping on Christmas Eve, but I am fully confident that by the end of this week I will have everyone's gifts purchased and wrapped! BAM!
Last week I went to Big Lots to shop for some last minute things for my trip to Hawaii and ended up leaving with two more people crossed off the list. I don't know about you, but I have the hardest time shopping for new babies. My newest niece Sophie was born in November which means she will not be old enough to play with toys or even open her gift. That makes shopping a little tricky. When I was grabbing some snacks, I noticed that the baby section (I haven't needed to shop in that section for a while, so I had never even looked at) had some pretty awesome baby stuffs!
Since babies can't open presents, I thought it would be neat to purchase a small hamper/storage bin to put her gifts in. I love packaging gifts in reusable containers, don't you?! I did decide to wrap the outside of the basket because I had to wrap something!
So what are some awesome gift ideas for babies? I'm glad you asked!
These are the items I was able to purchase during my Big Lots haul:
- Purple Mini Hamper
- 1 Pack of Size 2 Diapers
- 1 Pack of Huggies Natural Care Wipes
- Nuby Wash Mitt w/ 3 wash cloths
- Frozen Socks (6 pairs)
- Baby Shoe Tights (these are SO cute)
- 1 Pair of Black Crib Dress Shoes
- Fisher-Price Link A Doos (my kids loved these)
- Nuby Wacky Teething Ring
- 2 Nuby IcyBite Teethers
- Nuby FunKeys
- Nuby Food Nibbler
- Nuby Chewy Teether
- Nuby Comfort Grip Feeding Set
- Nuby Early Sippy Cups
- Fisher- Price Dumbbell Rattle
- Fisher-Price Roller Blocks Convertable (I did find this in the toy section)
Not bad right? I got the brands moms know and love, and I got it all for under $70 bucks! This would also make a great baby shower gift!
My haul isn't over, though. While walking to the toy section (where I got the Fisher-Price car) I saw the Christmas display for pets. Every year I have said I was going to get our dog Sophie (how weird is that? I have a dog and now a niece named Sophie, who I shopped for on the same day,!) a gift, but have never followed through.
This year when I saw the adorable dog bone Christmas "cookies" I knew I had to stuff a stocking for our furbaby.
So to finish off my Sophie haul for the day I purchased:
- 1 Christmas Stocking
- Bag of Tennis Balls
- 3pk of Foppers Gourmet Pet Treats
- 2pk of Fun Chew Bones
- Cesar Millan Rubber Tug Toy
- Pink Leash
- Dentist's Best Rawhide Chews
For Sophie's stocking, I spent around $25. Hopefully, that will make up for the last couple of years she hasn't gotten a gift!
I love shopping at Big Lots for my Christmas presents because they have everything I need all in one store. Before leaving, I snatched up three rolls of wrapping paper and some tape.
If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping be sure to stop by Big Lots, they will have exactly what you're looking for to build a beautiful gift basket or stuff a fabulous stocking! I love purchasing name brands I love without spending a fortune.
